Going Crazy In the Kitchen

Some days you just need to step back from the researching and the exploring and the writing and just enjoy yourself. And that's precisely what I did today. Feeling creative, I opened my recipe file and got to cooking. It was a dessert kind of day and I ended up making five (5!) different things. Behold the fruits of my labor -

Honeycomb dipped in bittersweet chocolate (from the awesome blog Crazy For Crust)

 Chocolate Almond Oat Bars 

 Peaches n' Sour Cream Ice Cream 

Chocolate Coconut Ice Cream

Raspberry Thyme Syrup (added to seltzer water for a homemade soda)

Man! I wish I had taken a decent picture before my ice cream started to melt!
